You won’t regret buying this!,
After getting rid of a disastrous Bundt Pan which came as a gift, I went with what America’s Test Kitchen suggested – The NordicWare Platinum Series Cast Aluminium 12-cup Bundt Pan. I couldn’t believe what I saw, it was as if a professional chef made the cake!! Perfectly even browning, beautiful well-defined shape – just perfect!
I am now adding one more to my wish list, and I am going to stick with the Test Kitchen’s advice.

|Use only Cast Aluminum Bundt Pans!,
I was thrilled to find that these quality heavy aluminum pans are still being produced. It’s tough to find them. I don’t even bother baking cakes in Bundt pans if I don’t have a Nordic Ware Cast Aluminum 12″ Bundt pan. I have tried and it’s a waste of time! I have this really delicious Yogurt Lemon Cake that turns out perfect every time in my Nordic pan.

I just got two of these and it was love at first sight. They are heavy duty and are very well made.
Here’s more detailed size information.
Inside dimension (where the food will go) – 11.5″ x 8.25″
Outside dimension – 13″ x 9.75″
unfortunately, it does not fit in my toaster oven.
11/15/11 update – still use it and no rust (some cheap aluminum tends to rust. there are large stains from cooking, but i use them all the time. i love them and will get new ones when these go. i wash them in the dishwasher every time. so far, i’ve probably washed them 30-40 times. still love them.

|Not “totally” dishwasher safe,
Great simple item. I would give it 5 stars, however, the description states it is dishwasher safe … there should be a caveat: dishwasher safe depending on the detergent you use. I’m not sure which detergent is safe for aluminum, but I use Cascade with Jet Dry as a rinse aid (and I assume a lot of others do as well), but if you Google aluminum and dishwasher, many advise you not to put aluminum in the dishwasher as detergents will oxidize the aluminum and darken/corrode it. Indeed this is what happened to my sheet. But since I really like this pan, I’ll probably get another one, just wish that the description included a warning about being somewhat dishwasher safe.
